History
Almanac Projects began as an award-winning, Philadelphia-based, contemporary circus company dedicated to original works of genre-defying art.
Since our founding in 2013, Almanac has premiered 16 full-length shows, touring across the United States and internationally in Mexico, Egypt, Croatia, and the UK.
Our virtuosic performances have been featured at Jacob’s Pillow, Philadelphia Museum of Art, FringeArts, New York Live Arts, the New York Botanical Gardens, and beyond.
Almanac is also know for innovative, community-centered event production, as exemplified by Rocky Award-winning Fit Fest and acclaimed Cannonball Festival, which produced 28 full-length works in 2021, 12 of which were awarded weekly audience choice, and 3 Fringie Award-winning productions.
Almanac has moved to pour more effort into the continued support of new artists and the network that supports the art community. Using the connections built throughout years of collaboration Almanac is uniquely positioned to help new works launch and create environments to grow the best new works of tomorrow. Almanac can grow both artists and audiences to feed the live performance ecosystem and keep live performance thriving.
